As part of the Postal Service’s 10-year Delivering for the America plan to invest in the postal network the USPS announced they will be updating the Dropship Keys at the Regional Processing Distribution Centers (RPDC). Effective in the June published Mail Direction Files the Dropship Keys will be updated from E to K. The purpose of this update is to identify RPDC’s. The original 6 – digit locale key for each of these sites will stay the same. All future RPDC’s will use this naming convention. The initial changes are noted in the chart below:
